Chocolate Chip Cookies

This in particular, is one of the random recipes you will find in this blog that is not of Turkish origin. So the question should be, what makes it so special to have a place in a Turkish food blog? The first reason is it tastes so delicious it would feel wrong not to include it. The second reason is if you take a look below, you will see like a great many of the Turkish dishes it is prepared with yogurt, thus giving it an original flavor. We use wheat flour specifically for the dough to have a harmonious chocolate brown color. And yes, it does taste so good as it looks :)

Ingredients

2 heaped tbsp yogurt
1 egg
½ cup sugar
2½-3 cups of flour, sifted
1 package vanilla or 1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup of chocolate chips

Instructions

- In a bowl, mix the butter, yogurt, egg and sugar.
